Dr. Daniel Cruz Lattimore

Dr. Daniel Cruz Lattimore is passionate about creating and maintaining psychologically safe workplaces that encourage people to be their best selves. Through cultural humility, empathic leadership, and collaboration, he helps his clients create a blueprint for building a more innovative workforce.

As a researcher, practitioner, and amateur stand-up comedian, Daniel is interested in the intersection of humor with authenticity in the workplace. His research has focused on the impact of humor as a moderator between adverse situations and work volition for Black men. He has also investigated leadership development and employee engagement in government sectors and healthcare settings. Seeking to have an impact beyond the workplace, Daniel has intentionally facilitated workplace and community collaborations, which have supporting evidence for increased productivity, increased employee engagement, and increased sense of belonging.

As a coach, Daniel seeks to uncover, appreciate, and build upon the individuality of each client he works with. He devotes time to understand their unique lived experiences, their environmental context, and their personal characteristics to build a solid foundation for their partnership. Through open dialogue, he guides his clients to identify goals that are meaningful to them and to map a concrete plan that bridges the gap between their current and desired future state.

Daniel’s calm and affable style allows him to easily create rapport with his clients. He can quickly create a welcoming and accepting space that invites the leaders he supports to be their authentic selves and to explore how to overcome obstacles and barriers to reach their work and career aspirations.
