Research Lab
Every week we have a group of incredible interns and researchers who contribute to our services for clients. Our research lab is continually exploring aspects of multicultural competence, leadership, resilience, and occupational thriving. They do this by conducting reviews of literature, data collection and analysis, social-scientific writing, and survey assessment development. Although our interns are the behind the scenes, they are truly an invaluable asset to our work at Legacy Consulting & Research Group.
Haoyuan Shi is part of the 2022-2023 Legacy internship cohort. He joined as a senior with a double major in Clinical/Community Psychology and Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Marisa Barajas is a member of the Fall 2022 internship cohort and is currently a senior at Eureka College. Marisa will soon have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with future plans to become a psychologist.
Khushi Thakkar was part of Legacy Consulting and Research Group’s Spring 2022 cohort as a Freshman at the University of Illinois majoring in Psychology with a Clinical/Community concentration and a minor in Business.
Zac Carrera was part of the Fall 2021 Intern Cohort with Legacy Consulting and Research Group LLC. He joined as a Sophomore at the University of Illinois majoring in Psychology with a focus on clinical/community psychology.
Allison Vavra worked on the Legacy internship cohort during the Summer 2021 and joined as a student at the University of Illinois.
Alessia Giardin was a part of the Legacy Internship Cohort of Spring 2021 as a publishing intern and an English major with a minor in Psychology at Illinois Wesleyan University. Alessia is a senior and is applying to graduate programs for Journalism.
Sherry Zhang was a part of the Legacy Internship Cohort in Fall 2020. Sherry joined as a junior at University of Illinois with a major in Psychology.
Andrea Dayal joined Legacy in Summer 2019 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Andrea is a Biochemistry Major with an emphasis on Neuroscience. At Legacy, Andrea continues to serve as a Research Assistant who focuses on the intersection between the brain, multicultural competence, and resilience.
YinBo Wang is a member of the Fall 2022 Legacy internship cohort. YinBo is an undergraduate student at Calvin University majoring in psychology with a neuroscience concentration.
Micah Dalton was part of the Summer 2022 Cohort. He plans on pursuing a degree in Psychology. His research interest falls in the domains of multicultural competence, diversity, and inclusion.
Hunter Guest was part of the Spring 2022 cohort as a student at Illinois Wesleyan University. Hunter is a double major in business and organizational psychology as well as being a part of the golf team at IWU.
Lyric Jenkins was part of the Fall 2021 Internship Cohort at Legacy Consulting and Research Group. Lyric joined as a Junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a major in Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
Rachel Gorcyca was a member of the Summer 2021 Internship Cohort with Legacy and a student at the University of Illinois.
Sam Dooley was a part of the Legacy Internship Cohort of Spring 2021. Sam joined Legacy as a student at Illinois Wesleyan University.
Aaron Martin worked as a part the Legacy Internship Cohort as a senior at the University of Southern Indiana in Fall of 2020. He was a major in Psychology, with a minor in Communication Studies.
Elijah Wonmin Chi is part of the Fall 2022 cohort and is a sophomore at the UIUC studying Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Behavior Change.
Isaiah Pinto was part of the Spring 2022 cohort as a Senior undergraduate student at the University of Illinois with a major in Industrial Organizational Psychology and a minor in Business & Legal Studies.
Jovanna Blum is from Baraboo, Wisconsin, and attended Calvin University majoring in Psychology and graduated in the Spring of 2022. Jovanna has a goal of working with adolescents after graduation.
Emilee Clarke was a member of the Summer 2021 Internship Cohort with Legacy and a student at the University of Southern Indiana.
Yinuo Cheng was a member of the Summer 2021 Internship Cohort with Legacy and a student at the University of Illinois.
Hailey Stephens was a part of the Legacy Internship Cohort in Spring 2021. Hailey joined Legacy as a publishing intern and student at Illinois Wesleyan University.
Devon Veatch worked on the Legacy team as a senior at University of Southern Indiana in Evansville in Summer 2020. Devon worked as a marketing intern during his time at Legacy.
Melissa-Ann Lagunas is a member of the 2022-2023 cohort and a second-year clinical psychology PhD student at Seattle Pacific University. She is interested in ethnic and minority research, specifically the psychological experience of first-generation professionals.
Jayden Erie was part of the Spring 2022 cohort as a sophomore at Illinois Wesleyan University. Jayden is majoring in Psychology and also plays on the Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team.
Jessica Zepeda joined Legacy as a Senior at the University of Illinois and was a member of the Fall 2021 Intern Cohort. She is a Political Science and Psychology major with a minor in Informatics.
Tyler Maple was a member of the Summer 2021 Internship Cohort with Legacy. He joined as a Psychology major at Illinois Wesleyan.
Jacqueline Thompson was part of the Legacy cohort in Spring 2021. Jacqueline completed her Master’s Degree at Columbia University in Organizational Psychology and is a Captain in the US Army at West Point.
Liv Wight was a part of the Legacy Internship Cohort as a junior Psychology major at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville during the Fall semester of 2020.
Jezi Martinez worked with Legacy as a Marketing Consultant Intern for the Spring 2020 semester as a senior at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. Jezi graduated in June 2020 with a major in Business Management and a minor in Marketing.
